  • Herbal Teas for Wellness: We will explore in depth many fresh and dried herbs that will pleasantly improve your health. Learn which herbs to use to correct digestive issues, to awaken your mind, soothe your heart, cradle you into restful sleep, improve your immunity or kindle your vitality.  Embrace the nurturing and therapeutic benefits of herbs as you learn to design your own teas for the season or a specific benefit. The flavors and aromas of the herbs will dance their way in through your senses and create a sense of balance within, giving you moments to pause, ground and reflect or opportunity to connect more deeply with others as you lovingly create and share your herbal tea with them.

We will share recipes of the teas and meals, slides of the presentations and include  a booklet of herbs, their benefits and how to use them.

We will begin and end each day with restorative yoga, powerful pranayam and guided meditation to deeply relax you and restore balance. With 3 wholesome plant based meals, workshops and  hiking in the gentle embrace of rolling hills, sweeping panoramic views and the tranquil energy of Vedanta retreat center, you will come away  inspired, rejuvenated and ready to integrate wholesome habits into your life.

About The Facilitator

Dr Ajita Patel A.D. (Ayurvedic Doctor)
has made yogic wisdom as her life and work. Weaving her spiritual upbringing and formal training in Pranayama, Yoga, Ayurveda, Panchakarma, herbalism, energy healing and Advait Vedanta, she inspires her students and patients to reach their fullest potential. Board Certified as an Ayurvedic Doctor by NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association), she opened an Ayurveda and Panchakarma clinic at her Sanctuary Yoga Studio in Orange County LA in 2011 and successfully grew it over the next decade helping thousands of patients. With a clear understanding of health needs of her patients and in response to increasing requests from Ayurveda students and practitioners, she founded the Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine (IAM) in 2019. where  students are taught courses that blend ancient wisdom with evidence based science to address current lifestyle and health challenges. She has meticulously designed certificate courses in Ayurvedic nutrition, herbalism, Ayurvedic lifestyle,  Prana Vidya, pranayama, meditation and yoga ( approved by yoga alliance).This knowledge serves as an indestructible fort for the student, their family, community and potential clients so that  health and harmony at every level becomes the natural outcome.
