Whether you are on the New or Full Moon event, nature will play a deep part in our experience of moving inward to touch the vibration of silence. The New Moon in our Sierra Nevada Mountains can bring us a view of the full expanse of the night sky inspiring our deepest desires to be set in motion. We will walk together in the darkness of night, under the star filled skies, and meditate on the inner and outer natures. As we are in the energy of the New Year it is a great time to plant positive seeds in the garden of your Mind, Body and Spirit. Developing self awareness, through self inquiry, you will taste the profound experience of silence that can carry you forward through the mystical unfolding of your life’s journey.
As you arrive and into the first day, we will observe and practice silence in various ways: a powerful pranayam practice, silent meditation techniques, sound bathing, forest bathing, conscious movement practices, as well as during our meals and personal self study time. Using many silence-enhancing practices we will build toward deep silence and break silence after morning practice on the fourth. Each practice is designed to bring harmony to your Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual bodies so that a state of ease can be reached. Yoga, Pranayama, Sound Therapy and Forest Bathing are all scientifically proven to reduce stress and enhance overall wellness.
Though Silent Meditation can be an intimidating concept, the practice of Yoga Nidra, or guided relaxation, can help many find calm and promote deep states of concentration which balances emotional states and promotes deeper sleep. Being Silent in nature is one of the keys to calming your nervous system and going deeper into yourself, therefore the Art of Forest Bathing will be enjoyed and woven throughout the weekend. Yogic Eating: at each delicious meal you will practice the simple and profound qualities in Yogic or Mindful eating in silence.
