“From the moment we arrived at Vedanta one late Friday evening, Kristin and Deepak made us feel welcome and pampered. The Vedanta space is in harmony with the splendid Sierra foothills and singing rivers landscape surrounding it. Inside there are lavish robes, a bathtub and shower sauna, gift basket teaming with little luxuries, accommodations that will have you discovering something new all of the time. We enjoyed several yoga sessions during our stay, the first being initiated with a variety of pranayama techniques. Both Kristin and Deepak are extremely knowledgeable about the reasoning behind the breaths and the movements they led us through and had a graceful way of educating us in the benefits of an all encompassing practice of mind-body-spirit connection. Deepak is an incredible cook and we enjoyed some of his favorite Indian dishes, oftentimes sitting out on the front deck engaged in great conversations. We really packed in activities during our stay and on Saturday, managed to drive an hour to do some gorgeous hiking among the world’s largest trees and onto Dome Rock with 360 Sierra Nevada epic view to enjoy a scrumptious picnic lunch packed by our hosts. We received an individual two-hour massage treatment from Kristin, leaving us feeling both serenely calm and pointedly clear… The massage ends with spending some quality time in your personal sauna and you pretty much feel like velvet butter at the end of this treatment.
